Create Your Perfect Studio: Dragon Image's LightPro Background Solutions

Overview 

When building you’re own studio one of the most important things you need are backgrounds, and we at Dragon Image have everything you could possibly need to make it happen in virtually any space. From mounting options to the backgrounds themselves, our LightPro products can help you make it happen.


Expan System 

So when it comes to having your backgrounds, you might be thinking “How am I supposed to get it up there and how do I wind it up or down”. Well, we have the perfect solution for you, our LightPro Expan System. This product of ours is the way to go. It slides right into the paper or aluminum core of the background, then twist the dial at the end and it expands to hold the background nice and tight. You can even adjust the tension of the Expan to really help you get it up and down and to make sure the background doesn't slide right off. Speaking of going up and down, the Expan either comes with a gear to through one of the included adjustable chains or a motorized version so you can wind it at the touch of a button.  


Hooks

Now you might be wondering “What is going to hold my background?” Well, we got you covered with our LightPro Hooks. They can hold up to one, two, three, four, or six backgrounds. They can be mounted to walls, ceilings auto poles and the single, double, and quad hooks can come with a spigot mount so can put them on your light stands or C-Stands.


Background support kits

Now if you are in a location that can’t have the LightPro Hooks fitted to the walls or ceiling, or you're just always on the go with your kit. Then we have options for you too, so we could either use the LightPro Auto Poles, our LightPro Telescopic Crossbars, or The LightPro. With the Auto Poles, they hydraulically press to the floor and roof and the hooks just attach with the use of a Super Clamp and little spacer. The Telescopic Crossbar doesn’t rely on any Hooks or Expans, but it can only hold one background at a time, it can also extend up to 3m long. The Crossbar just sits on top of your lighting stands and can be secured with a wingnut. Lastly the Hooks with the spigot mount, they just sit on top of your light stands then you just chuck on your background with the Exapns, but make sure lighting stands can hold the weight of the backgrounds if putting on more than one.


Backgrounds

In terms of the Backgrounds themselves, we have a wide variety of our Superior Seamless 2.72m paper backgrounds that come in multiple different colours, most popularly Arctic White and Jet Black. Those two also come in our half rolls which measure in at 1.35m. If you’d like something that isn’t paper we also have our Lightpro Velvet and Vinyl backgrounds. The Velvet comes in black, white, blue, green, and grey, and the Vinyl comes double-sided with black and white.
