Its robust construction employs Ultra-high Impact structural copolymer that confers exceptional strength and durability, making it impervious to breakage, water, dust, air, chemicals, and corrosion.

The case's 0.25" (6.4 mm) neoprene o-ring, double throw latches, and automatic purge valve create a secure and airtight seal that defends against sudden pressure changes. 1690 also features large two-person fold-down handles, a retractable extension handle, and strong polyurethane wheels with stainless steel bearings for convenient transportation. There is an effortless release latch for the extension handle. The padlock protectors ensure additional security against theft and tampering.
