Having the perfect studio space to create your own video and photo content can often seem impossible if you don’t know where to start. Oftentimes you’re forced to create a makeshift setup in your office or home space, or you need to hire out a studio, both of which come with their own set of challenges.
This is where Dragon Image can help. Dragon Image has built photographic and video studios around Australia for Companies, Government, Schools. We get involved in the briefing process speaking to the people using the studio and their needs. There are a lot of things that you need to consider when building a studio and we are happy to help. As one of Australia's leading distributors of video and photography equipment for over 30 years, we are committed to providing quality support and service. Not only do we provide the materials, we work with you and give you the right advice to provide the exact solution and equipment for your needs. As available technologies continue to emerge and transform the way we do things, both in the classroom and in the real world, it is important to remember that knowing what the technologies are and how to use them is only a small piece of the puzzle; what is far more important is understanding why. With over 25 years of studio building experience, we have the knowledge and skill to advise on a wide range of different studios for all industries. Since our inception in 1993, we have built over 200 studios for the following industries:
...just to name a few!
Every industry has different requirements and reasons for needing to shoot studio content, and so we are well-placed to provide solutions to a whole range of industries. We are also always learning and trying new solutions, so no two studios we build are ever the same! This means that we cater to your exact needs and provide solutions based on your budget or space limitations.
Picking a camera requires knowledge of both camera features and required outcomes. These days there are cameras designed to give 8K resolution, 22 stops of dynamic range and can shoot 300 frames a second. There are others that can freeze a bullet mid-flight or make midnight look like midday. There are even cameras that can follow you around the room and switch between people as they speak - but we understand these features are not for everyone. Knowing the right camera for the right job is where we help.
The options for lighting are endless but knowing what you need to achieve is the first step to selecting the correct light. Lighting options change very quickly in the photography and film industries, so having an understanding of the current options is very important.
The key to recording high-quality audio for video is understanding the advantages of different microphones, recording mixers, wireless solutions etc. Whether it be for indoor or outdoor recording, all microphones are the same and each one performs a unique job. We are able to provide advice and solutions for all kinds of recording situations, including sit-down interviews, film production, outdoor ambience or podcasts. We also provide acoustic foam panels designed to reduce echoes, which is perfect if you want to create a sound-treated studio space for your content.
