LightPro 10kg Shot Bag
10KG Heavy Weight Shotbags are ideal for weighting or stabilising objects that are wind-affected or inherently unstable -lighting stands, sound equipment, banner stands, umbrellas, tents/marquees, signage and a million other jobs.
The shotbags are filled with small pieces of metal which creates their flexible properties.
The bag is constructed from a tough, fire retardant PVC fabric. Standard colour stocked in black, but can be manufactured in many different colour combinations.
Each weight is fitted with a webbing strap handle, for ease of transport.
LightPro 10kg Shot Bag - Uncompromising On-Set Stability
The LightPro 10kg Shot Bag is a professional-grade, metal-shot-filled stabilization weight designed to securely anchor high-payload C-stands, heavy lighting modifiers, and dynamic grip structures against wind sheer and shifting centers of gravity.
Built for the Demands of Modern Production
When flying high-output COB LEDs with large parabolic softboxes or rigging articulating boom arms over a talent mark, a shifting center of gravity can compromise a shoot in seconds. The LightPro 10kg Shot Bag acts as an essential counterweight to safely increase the payload capacity and footprint stability of rolling stands, C-stands, and structural trusses. Unlike traditional sandbags that harden, leak, or absorb moisture, this unit is filled with small metal spheres, allowing the weight to drape seamlessly over stand legs and low-profile baseplates for maximum friction and surface contact.
Location shoots introduce a volatile set of variables, from sudden wind gusts hitting large overhead diffusion frames to crew members navigating tight set footprints. Constructed from industrial-grade, fire-retardant PVC fabric, the LightPro 10kg survives the physical rigors of fast-paced sets while meeting strict safety compliance for indoor studio environments running hot-lights or high-draw fixtures.
A heavy-duty webbing strap handle ensures fast, ergonomic repositioning between demanding lighting setups. This allows grips, gaffers, and sound engineers to lock down essential equipment—from complex light arrays to external audio baffling—with absolute confidence and minimal downtime.

Production FAQ
How does the metal shot filling compare to traditional sand in high-humidity environments?
Unlike sand, which can absorb moisture, clump, and deteriorate the interior lining, the metal shot filling remains completely pliable and maintains its low-profile flexibility regardless of environmental humidity or direct rain exposure.
Is the PVC exterior rated for proximity to high-temperature continuous lighting?
Yes. The exterior shell is constructed from fire-retardant PVC, mitigating the risk of accidental ignition or melting if the bag temporarily rests near the high-heat exhaust of powerful HMI or tungsten fixtures.
Can this be used to counterweight extended boom arms carrying heavy cinematic payloads?
Absolutely. At 10kg, this bag provides substantial counter-leverage, effectively stabilizing C-stand boom arms carrying heavy COB lights and large modifiers without requiring crews to stack multiple lighter bags.
Will the webbing handle support rapid carabiner attachment to overhead rigging?
The high-tensile webbing strap is securely stitched into the main load-bearing seams of the PVC shell, making it fully suitable for heavy-duty carabiner clipping, truss suspension, and rapid set repositioning by grip crews.
