The 7" Shogun Ultra Monitor-Recorder, the latest addition to ATOMOS' Shogun lineup of onboard camera video monitor-recorders, introduces integrated network connectivity to mirrorless, DSLR, and cine-style cameras, enhancing speed and efficiency in your video capture workflows. This innovation enables streamlined cloud-based workflows, offering features such as dual ProRes RAW/H.265 recording for Camera to Cloud, automatic file name matching with popular cine-style cameras, and 4K H.265 capture for immediate cloud-based publishing. Collaboration with leading camera manufacturers ensures seamless compatibility with an expanding array of camera models.

AtomOS 11 The 7" Shogun Ultra is powered by the new AtomOS 11 operating system, which introduces EL Zone exposure-referenced colorized images, ARRI false color support, and new scheduled recording and playback tools. Furthermore, it expands codec support to include standard codecs such as up to 8K Apple ProRes Raw, DNxHD, and H.265.

Comprehensive Connectivity In addition to its existing capabilities, the 7" Shogun Ultra now boasts additional standard codecs, including support for 8K Apple ProRes Raw, DNxHD, and H.265. This versatile device also offers dual recording functionality, allowing you to capture full-quality Apple ProRes Raw files at resolutions up to UHD 4K 60p while simultaneously recording 1080p 60 using H.265, making it an ideal companion for cine-style cameras. The file name matching feature simplifies workflows when working with ARRI, Canon, RED, and Sony cameras, while enhanced monitoring tools, such as the EL ZONE System for exposure and ARRI false color, provide improved image evaluation. The newly introduced RemoteView feature allows you to share live screen views over the internet.

NDI TX Option For high-quality video transmission over standard networks, including Wi-Fi and mobile networks, the optional NDI transmission function offers remarkable bandwidth efficiency. NDI technology is increasingly prevalent in live production, and the Shogun can now seamlessly integrate into NDI environments as an NDI source, accessible to authorized devices across the network.

Ultrabright Screen The Shogun Ultra boasts an exceptionally bright and expansive 7" screen that remains easily viewable in various lighting conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings. With a brightness of 2000 cd/m², this monitor is particularly well-suited for reviewing HDR footage on set. Additionally, you can conveniently playback recently captured shots on the same high-quality screen for review or cloud-based uploading.

Durable Construction Designed for durability in all environments, the Shogun Ultra features a robust housing. The built-in tally light provides a quick visual indicator of the recording status, while the solid Wi-Fi and AirGlu RF antennas ensure stable signal transmission. Power options include the L-series battery plate located on the monitor's rear or optional DC power input. You can mount the monitor-recorder using the 3/8”-16 threads on the top and bottom or utilize the included 1/4”-20 adapter. The Shogun Ultra also incorporates a built-in slot for the included Master Caddy III, an SD card slot supporting cards up to 4TB, and compatibility with CFast II cards using an SSDmini adapter for extended recording capacity. Finally, the USB-C port allows for future expansion options and AtomOS updates.
