About Dragon Studio Solutions
In the last 20 years, Dragon Image has established itself as one of Australia’s leaders in studio builds and equipment supply. In that time we have seen how many different industries have evolved in regards to their needs for video and photo content, and as such we have evolved alongside them. Now, with our new website, Dragon Studio Solutions, we aim to give potential clients and customers an interactive portal where they can read about our services, view our previous builds, and easily get in contact. Here is a brief overview of what you can expect.
What is our Studio Build Process?
At Dragon Image, we’ve broken down our studio build process into three distinct phases.
-
Design, planning and building the actual studio space
-
Equipment supply and lighting installation
-
Training and consultation
Planning & Building
The first stage requires succinct and thorough design and planning. We’ll work with our clients extensively to quote them the correct space, and that will usually include a questionnaire, photos of the space, as well as measurements. Additionally, we can provide 3D diagrams of the proposed space for additional costs. This allows for the client to visualise the space and make changes where needed. There are a lot of things that you need to consider when building a studio and we are happy to walk through it with you.
When it comes to 3D Design, not only do we provide precise diagrams of what the space will look like, we are also able to add in lighting fixtures to light the space as it would in real life, as well as a human subject and a camera. Having these in the design actually allows you to get an idea of what your photos or videos will look like once lit up, which can be extremely helpful when the studio is being used for a specific purpose.

When it comes to the build of the studio - especially cyclorama studios - we ensure the room is properly treated and ready for an installation, and this usually requires floor treatment, artificial walls being built and power installed into the ceiling. Again, this is all worked out in the planning stage, and then we are able to execute the build.
